He is a researcher of Sorghum Breeding at Shanxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences. In 1960 he graduated from Shanxi Agricultural College. He has successively cultivated excellent varieties of Jinza No.1,4,5. He has won the National Science Conference Award, National Invention Award, Shanxi Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, etc. He is titled as Outstanding Expert of Shanxi Province, National Outstanding Contribution Award.
