2021 Shanxi Provincial First Prize for Progress in Science and Technology
Research and Demonstration on High Quality and Efficient Standardized Production Technology of Pear
This research achievement was accomplished through cooperation of Shanxi Agricultural University, China Agricultural University and some other well-known domestic academic institutions. The research aimed to solve the crucial problems in the transformation and development of pear production in China by applying the research route of technological innovation driven by breakthroughs in key mechanism researches. In this achievement, a modern, high quality and high efficiency production mode for pear trees was established by combining three integrated techniques, i. e. efficient tree shape training and pruning, simple and labor-saving flower and fruit management and economical and efficient utilization of fertilizer and water. Standardized experimental demonstration bases were built up and this achievement has been successfully popularized and applicated in orchards of about 3 million mu (200 thousands hectares) in 9 provinces (cities) in northern China, which greatly promoted the industrial upgrading and technological development there.
